Welcome to the IBS FAQ Wiki

This Frequently Asked Questions Wiki has been compiled mainly from the answers to questions posed by members in IBSNet. Thus it draws on the combined experience and knowledge of a broad range of broadcast sound practitioners.

There is information from basic Ohm's Law electronics through to a grounding in acoustics, along with a glossary of abbreviations and acronyms used in broadcasting.

The IBS FAQ Wiki is quite separate from the IBS Audio Compendium, which is more general and historical in character.

Help to update the FAQ

The content of a Wiki is the result of collaboration between many people.

All IBS members may contribute to and edit this Wiki, but you need to ask John Andrews or Peter Almgill to grant you "Trusted User" access first. About the IBS FAQ contains further details.
